TATTOO ADVOCATE THREE

FRONT COVER
Photography by Bill DeMichele

This Issue was an exploration of women in tattooing. Tattooing in the western world
had mostly been the bastion of macho men and women made huge in roads in the 1970's
I made an attempt to show and comment on how "Women hold up half the sky"

LITERARY ARTICLE

I had the desire to introduce to the concept to the world that tattooing was art and over the centuries had considerable influence
on our cultural memory and pop culture as well as the serious creative people of the greatest skills on virtually every level
of creative output. We began a series of articles on visual artists, musicians, composers, as well as political/historical figures
who had been influenced by or represented in tattooing as an art form.
